This is a chicken farm that uses an A-type layer cage system to raise 10,000 laying hens. It is located on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda, with convenient transportation.
Project Introduction:
In 2020, the farmer Ivan cooperated with our company, livi poultry farming equipment supplier, to expand from 5,000 laying hens to 15,000 laying hens by using layers cages.
After communication, we gave him the following suggestions:
The original chicken houses will remain unchanged and two more chicken houses will be built to accommodate 5,000 laying hens. The dimensions of the chicken house are 36 meters long, 8 meters wide and 3.5 meters high. Use A-type layer cage system and trolley feeding machine to save costs.
In the subsequent communication with Ivan, he expressed that the layers cages he had ordered from the local area were of poor quality and had deformed after one year of use. In the end he decided to use our laying hen cages entirely. The laying hen cages in the original chicken house are no longer in use.
Therefore, the entire chicken farm plan was finally determined as follows: 3 chicken houses, each with a capacity of 5,000 laying hens. Each chicken house uses 32 groups of 4-tier A-type layer cage system, each set of layers cages can accommodate 160 chickens. The three chicken houses can raise a total of 15,162 laying hens.
Project Progress:
The project was launched in 2020 and will be completed and put into use in 2021. It has now been 3 years since Ivan used our A-type layer cage system. Because our after-sales service lasts for 3 years, we contacted Ivan at regular intervals during these three years to inquire about the use of laying hen cages and the operation of his chicken farm. He said the laying hen cages showed no signs of deformation or corrosion and were still very strong. His chicken farm can currently produce 13,000 eggs per month, an increase of nearly 20% from before. So the income is also very good.
In the future, Harry plans to further expand the scale of the chicken farm and develop the chicken farm into a modern agricultural enterprise integrating laying hen breeding, egg sales, and chicken manure processing.
